davidnewgreen@gmail.comTheory: There’s three kinds of people. There’s those who, when asked to describe themselves, define themselves by their job. There’s those who define themselves by their hobbies or their relationships. And finally, there’s those who stare blankly for a moment, paralysed by the question, and end up offering a fairly incoherent answer that doesn’t tell you anything about them whatsoever.
Wait, let me start over.
Alright, I live in Melbourne, I’m studying classics and history at Monash, and I enjoy science fiction, fantasy, mythology, history, and politics. I guess if you wanted to find a common thread between all my interests, it’d be ‘world-building’; I like to understand how societies and cultures work, how they interact, how they differ from each other, and how they could be done differently.
Also, I like things blowing up and massive battles…
Politically, I’m rather left of centre. I’d consider myself a feminist, in so far as a man can be considered a ‘feminist’ without also being considered a ‘self-righteous asshole’.
On this journal, I mainly talk Star Wars, though I try and discuss plenty of other things.
